I used the "in the attic" loom that has 18 flexible pegs. I Knit 1 and purl 1 until my tube was the length of 4 inches in length. Then I placed the bottom hem onto the pegs so the fabric was doubled (like a hat brim) and yarn off all pegs so the brim stayed attached. Then I knit all 18 pegs until I reached my desired length of 4 inches and I commenced the heel construction. Since I had 18 pegs I only needed half of the pegs to construct the heel. See my sock blog http://twitchyfingerssocks.blogspot.com for proper heel construction. After I finished the heel area I began to knit stitch in the round for the foot construction. After 29 rows of knit I bind off and left a tail of 8 inches that I then sewed in a gather stitch and tightened the toe area like a hat. Made a knot and cut the tail. This is done when the sock is in the reverse side. I hope to have a sock video to demo this for you soon on my Youtube channel. Subscribe if you haven't yet at www.youtube.com/nickandsal001.
